Lingerie Americas was proud to host the second edition of The Best of Intima’s Best Shop Awards on Sunday July 31, 2005. After the success of the first edition in August 2004, BOI has reconducted its exciting contest that pay tribute to the best lingerie and swimwear specialty stores in the United States. During this unique ceremony, the 25 finalists were introduced to the audience through a video presentation featuring their store. Then the winner of each category was called to the podium to receive its Award. The Ceremony ended in a congenial atmosphere with a cocktail party gathering families and friends of the winners as well as industry professionals and supporting brands. The idea of honouring, showcasing ang going “behing the scenes” to truly reveal what makes a specialty store so “special” has become an art in itself and a top priority at BOI, seeing the importance of independent retail shops. This year, BOI received an incredibly high participation rate: 334 specialty stores took part in the contest supported by 22 high-end brands. Barbara Gilbert - Barbara's New Beginnings, Fort Wayne (IN) - winner of the Best Personalized Service Recognition Prize with Susan and David Nethero (Intimacy), Francesca Spinetta (BOI) and Cheryl Carter (BOI). |
